UBs Continued Troubles

Because of PokerXFactor's launch, I haven't been able to play any poker! All weekend we edited videos, which takes focus and concentration to piece them together and carefully match the audio levels. So I was excited to be play in the UB Sunday night $200 while I inserted hundreds of "tags" into the videos, which is mindless (mind numbing?) work. The tags gives the videos a table of contents so people can quickly replay a hand or advance a head to a hand of their choice.

But no, the tournament never started. I figured that would happen when UB first insisted that I upgrade to their latest version -- but unlike the normal click a button and the download starts, the error message told me to go to their website and download. Well, at least, I thought, it's a big new version. I download the new version, install, launch the app, and I get the same error message. This happens several times. I try uninstalling the UB software completely, then reinstall. No good. Finally, I ignore the error messages and try to login 10 times in a row and it magically works. So my hopes weren't that high.

It's easy for me to wait for UB to fix it's problems because I know I can't play much. But this has to be very bad for UB. With the big software upgrades at Party and the better blinds at PokerStars, UB has to be losing customers for good. If one of these sites upgrades their software so that you are always in the bottom center seat (only UB and Full Tilt do this), then why play at UB at all? I like many of the players (poker buds) but without Ultimate Buddy (which has also been down), I can't even rail easily.

The problems have been going on for weeks now. It's getting very serious for them. I hope they can turn it around.

Good luck this week!

Mind-

Not sure the best place to post this but I had a few things on my PXF wish list...

1. Mark the hands where bubble starts and Final Table starts so people can jump to those places.

2. Include the date of the tournament and date the vid or HH was added to the list of items.

3. For MTTs it would be nice if there was some way to find out the number of players entered and number of places paid. Not sure if this is possible, but number of players remaining at any given time would be very beneficial IMO.

4. List newly added items (maybe last week? couple days?) on the main page.

5. Last, but not least, MORE VIDEOS.

Site looks great so far...let me know the best place to pust this stuff.

I can definately empathize with your post. UB's upgrades are taking far too long and are far too inconvenient when there is so much going on in the online poker world. I was bumped out of 3 consecutive tourneys in one day! Each time not being able to log in at the correct time..."Site down for repairs"..I'm not seeing much of a benefit in playing there anymore...I hope that changes QUICK...or I'm out for good.

It is going to be rather hard for there to always be a little coutner telling how many people are left in the tourney because of one reason: When they upload this tourneys the just use the hand history written text and nowhere in the hand history does it say how many people are left. So it may be nearly impossible to ever get a coutner of how many are left.

It is going to be rather hard to get a counter saying how many people are left in a tourney for one reason: When they upload these videos all they use is the hand histories text and no where in the hand histories does it say how many people are left in the tourney, making it most probably impossible to ever have a counter telling how many people are left.
