The Return of the Leggggggggggy
Leggggggggggy, the 2005 Extreme Tilt Player of the Year, made a big move up the leader board yesterday by winning at $100 tournament in the afternoon, then coming back to take 3rd in the evening $100. He's now up to 14th on the leader board and I can only say one thing: watch out fellas, the king is back.
I ended some multi-table frustration yesterday. First I final tabled in a $33 MTT, then took 13th in the 7:40pm $100 out of 132 players, then finished with 27th out of 375 in the 9pm $200. Of course, you want to final table in those bigger tournaments but it's better than I've been running and it's always cool to cash in three straight.
I had one hand that I was especially proud of last night: I had doubled early and had A2 spades in the big blind (I don't have the hand history but I think this is basically correct). Flop is 3h 4s 6s. So I have nut flush draw and inside straight draw. Some betting occurs and I get heads up. Turn is a 5s. Now I have the nut flush and a straight flush draw. I bet and get called. River is a rag. This is early in the tournament so there is only 300 or 400 in the pot. I think about going all-in but in the end value bet a bit around half the pot. He then reraises something like 400 more. I couldn't think of a hand that he could have for that bet. It could be trips or a king high flush. But I honestly, instantly, knew he had a straight flush and just called and he flips 7s 8s. I thought that was a pretty good read. I'm pretty sure he couldn't believe I didn't repop.
Now the real question is: what if he had gone all-in? Would I have folded? Glad I didn't have to find out.
Good luck today!

Ty TT. Yea Mike but you gotta listen to your gut. In all honesty, since I had chips, I probably am forced to call an all-in but for some reason I knew what he had.
That was an incredible lay down. On a site filled with DONK plays at the highest level, it's good to hear about a good play every now and again.
