Bax Warms Up

I was out quick in the 9pm $100 UB tournamenet last night but I checked out the 7:40pm $100 to see how some buds were playing. PSP1, part of the original extreme tilt crew, was near the top and was playing on an interesting table with JohnnyBax, Krumster, TTTTTTTTT, MiracleGro and others.

They get down to the final 20 and Bax starts to chip up and on the final table he dominates with some relentless play. Finally, he's heads up against a player I didn't know (we'll call him Player Two). They go back and forth and Bax loses a huge hand when Player Two rivers a straight and now Bax is down a lot. He battles back and is down 180k to 150k and Player Two asks about a chop. Bax says sure, Player Two says "how?", Bax says: you lose to me and I'll pay you. Player Two doesn't like that and asks Bax to lose to him. Bax says no because he doesn't know the other player. It's unclear what Player Two is doing, so a hand goes by and Bax says: "So are we chopping?" Player Two says no and "gl" to which Bax replies: "GG" ... Now I took that as meaning: "Bad mistake buddy, Good Game, it's over." ... But I might be reading into it. ;-)

It was interesting, because Bax doesn't show bluffs much from what I have seen, but he wasn't getting the action he wanted from Player Two, so Bax started showing bluffs like 6 2 with A K 10 on the board.

Player Two does a nice job against Bax's relentless pressure and is hanging in there and I finally went to bed. Bax did take it down, I see this morning. Nice job ... and good luck in the Bahamas today.

Nice job also AngryClec, who took down the $40 last night ... Angry continues to stay hot and I see feldliss and Wachovia going deep a lot as well. These guys are heating up!
