PXF Hand Viewer -- Now w/ Showdown Odds Calculator
Hey, we have a cool update to the PokerXFactor Hand Viewer -- now when two or more people go to a showdown, we display the odds of each hand winning or tieing. We wrote the odds calculator ourselves so we're still testing it.
If you go thru the hands that are currently posted, you will see the odds in there now. This function just went online so it's definitely still beta. I've checked a few hands vs. other odds calculators online and it surprised me that different calculators give slightly different estimates! I thought it was strictly a straight math sort of thing. Apparently not. Pocketfives, for example, uses Bernoulli Trials to give it's odds. Card Player uses Monte Carlo simulations (a sampling from the deal of a few thousand random hands). So you will get slightly different percentages each time you run the calculator. The calculations can get huge so you need to do things like this to make the calculator fast. Anyway, we have a lot of thoughts on how to make ours work better and faster but this version is a good start.
I might as well use it to show you the odds of my AA losing to K7 last night in the UB $200. Actually, the hand below shows my odds of winning after we got it all in after the flop. I guess I should have re-raised more preflop, but you can't play scared and I wanted action. I actually put him on KQ (not AK) preflop and of course knew I could be up against a flush draw. Click on the link to see the larger version to clearly see the odds calculator.

Hi everyone, miraclegro here. The other night mr TTTTTTTTTTTTT called me out about having a previous identity on ub. I used to play under the name darwin84 until mid september when i decided to try the new handle miraclegro.
Anyways, this post is to document combining the names on the leaderboard.
Thanks mindwise.
Aaron
Thanks Aaron. This change will be in tomorrow or late today. It WILL have a major impact on the leader board.
